About us

Nordstrom Firewood offers high quality kiln-dried and air-dried firewood. We strive to provide the highest quality products at the best possible prices and ensure that we meet our customers' standards 100%.

in 1979
Our story began, when Gunnar Nordstrøm started to sell solid fuels to the private consumer market.

In 1988 he created our mother company
"Nordstrøm Handel A/S" in Denmark

selling solid fuels and our beginning of selling bio-fuel started.

Gunnar Nordstrøm came to Latvia in 1992

After Latvia became independent from the Soviet union. Gunnar and his wife Anne-Marie came looking for trading opportunities with firewood.

Gunnar invented the firewood crate as we know it today, for an easy way to transport it back to Denmark.

in 1998
Claus Nordstrøm, Gunnar's son, joined the company and has been running the company for over 20 years.
Our daughter company "Nordstrom industries" were created as well as our own production.

In 2006 we were one of the first companies to kiln dry firewood.

And the first company to mass export for Holland,
Belgium and Denmark.

in 2020
Daniel Hansen, the oldest son of Claus, joining the company.

In 2024 rebranding from Nordstrøm Industries to Nordstrom Firewood.

In spite of the continuity of generations, we are of the opinion that a modern and progressive company must keep pace with the times.
